SHORT BIO:

Tom Kohlman is a proud Lapeer County citizen who has a passion and love for the people of Lapeer County and a desire to do what is right for the community regardless of the sacrifice.  Tom is a successful business owner in Deerfield Township (Lapeer County) and graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor's Degree in Entrepreneurship and Construction Management.

Tom is married to his beautiful wife Kari and has 4 children who are being taught a love for community, family and most importantly, a love for JESUS CHRIST and The 10 Commandments!

 

BUDGET UNDERSTANDING:

Tom has a thorough understanding of budgets, spending, purchasing, P&L sheets and a full understanding of running business finances.  This knowledge makes Tom the perfect candidate as a Lapeer County Commissioner who's main responsibility is to make decisions on how Lapeer county spends the tax payer's money. (Your hard earned dollars!)

Lapeer County residents have realized that there is a monumental need for a new generation of elected leaders who will make the best choices for the community,  We are tired of the current politicians and their "good ol' boy network", which works in favor of those in the "good ol' boy network".  Many of the current political leaders in Lapeer county have done what they've wanted without asking Lapeer county residents what they want.  The people are supposed to have the AUTHORITY and POWER-NOT THE POLITICIANS!
