IMPROVEMENTS NEEDED
BRING GOD BACK TO OUR COMMUNITY & SCHOOLS
Since prayer and the 10 Commandments have been taken out of our schools and replaced with New Age ideas that are completely contrary to God's design, we have seen our communities slowly decline with increased violence, divorce and drug/alcohol abuse. It is time to bring God back into our communities and our schools. Our children are in desperate need of love, direction and godly principles for living. I will NEVER VOTE in favor of proposals that will damage our children and/or further remove godly principles from our community causing even more damage and moral decay. I will, however, vote in favor of proposals that will help our communities and schools by providing the funding and resources needed to strengthen our communities,
WISER BUDGET APPROVALS
Most counties are experiencing rapidly increased budgets every year. This is a sign that the local governments are spending more and more of your tax dollars and possibly raising your taxes to fund the ever increasing costs. I have successfully owned and operated many successful companies and I know the importance of counting all the costs and trimming budgets in order to prevent wasteful spending that causes DEBT and a growing government presence.
JOB PROTECTIONS
There were many current Board of Commissioners in Lapeer County who voted against a resolution to protect county workers from being terminated for NOT RECEIVING VACCINES. This type of neglectful and reckless decision making is absolutely unacceptable. No one should be terminated from their job for choosing to NOT get a vaccine. Vaccines should be the choice of the individual-not THE GOVERNMENT!
POLICE PAY INCREASE
Lapeer County Sheriff's department is in need of an increase in pay to deputies and staff. In order for a community to limit crime and maintain law and order, the police agencies need to be able to retain officers with competitive pay and opportunities. Lapeer County is long overdue for an increase in pay specifically to Sheriff's deputies and staff. I will vote in favor of keeping Lapeer County crime at a minimum!
MEDICAL FREEDOMS
It is no surprise that our current federal and state government would like nothing more than to force the citizens to be part of experimental medical procedures. ANYTHING medically related should be the choice of the citizen-NOT THE GOVERNMENT. Lapeer County citizens should not be discriminated against for not participating in certain medical procedures. I WILL VOTE YES FOR MEDICAL FREEDOMS in Lapeer County!
ELECTION REFORM
Every person who casts a ballot (votes) should be required to show proof of ID at the time the ballot is given to the local township clerk. If you have to show a valid Michigan I.D. at the time you buy alcohol then why should we not have to show a valid I.D. at the time we cast a ballot in an election? If our state politicians in Lansing will not provide us with the necessary laws required to insure fair elections, then we at the county level need to step in and do the work that the state government refuses to do. I will side with the people who want fair elections that are free from corruption and I will work tirelessly to insure that our elections in Lapeer County are not compromised from a lack of vigilance.
